KCON Announces Special Stages and WONYOUNG, RAIN, and Bang Chan as MCs 

WONYOUNG, of IVE, will perform at KCON and host Day 1 of the event at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, CA. STARSHIP ENTERTAINMENT

Today, KCON announced new additions to the festival’s jam-packed schedule and released more tickets due to extraordinarily high demand from fans.  

In a press release, KCON revealed several artists performing at the event who will participate in special stages each night. These stages are unique opportunities for fans to see their favorite idols’ performances that range  from exclusive collaborations to unique covers. These stages will be a surprise for fans with exact details of the performances only being revealed at KCON. But the performances offer KCONers a rare opportunity to see their favorite idols engage with some of K-Pop’s biggest hits or to participate in one-night-only collaborations. Performances each night include:

  • NCT U (TAEYONG X TEN) and NMIXX will be featured in special stages on Friday (Day 1). 

  • Kep1er, XG and xikers will participate in special stages on Saturday (Day 2)

  • JO1 and THE BOYZ will be featured on Sunday (Day 3), where THE BOYZ will premiere a performance from their subunit.

KCON will also debut “Hi My First”,  a special series where artists perform their earlier songs for the first time in a while - especially for KCONers. This series is set to feature ATEEZ on Saturday (Day 2) and Stray Kids on Sunday (Day 3). 

Additionally, KCON revealed each night’s “special hosts” for the convention. WONYOUNG of IVE, who just recently rolled off as MC at Music Bank, will host Friday (Day 1), legendary soloist RAIN will MC Saturday (Night 2), and Bang Chan of Stray Kids will host Sunday (Day 3). 

This year’s show is KCON’s biggest yet, featuring over 20 artists performing across three days, both at the Crypto.com Arena and at the actual convention. Fans will have the opportunity to see their favorite groups at both the daytime convention and the nighttime concerts. Convention performance highlights include the first solo performance of TAEMIN in North America on Day 1 since the end of his military enlistment; RAIN, performing for the first time in the U.S. in nearly 20 years, on Day 2; the recently debuted ZEROBASEONE, assembled of winners of the smash hit competition show “Boys Planet”; IVE’s North American debut; and the debut of MONSTA X’s Shownu and Hyungwon’s collaboration unit. 

KCON Los Angeles is an annual multi-day event in Downtown Los Angeles consisting of three full days of convention activities including workshops, panels, and more, followed by musical performances from top K-pop artists each night.
